In January of 2025 we bravely set a goal of raising $5,000 over the year. We thought it might be a challenge. How wrong we were! By December 31, our supporters had given over $7,000 to the Grandmothers Campaign via our website. Many of those gifts were from our own members — who deserve a special thank you for their dedication as volunteers as well as their pocketbook generosity.
Donations arise from a number of sources. Those who don’t want cheese or can’t attend our June Stories evening or other events often donate. We also receive donations in lieu of birthday gifts or in memory of lost loved ones.
The success of this year’s online fundraising can be credited to all One World Grannies. It’s the result of keeping friends and family aware of what we are doing and why.
We have set our goal for 2026 at $5,000 and the new 2026 donation page on the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s website will be up and running in early January.
