One World Grannies can celebrate a new fundraising record for its fifth annual cheese fundraiser. This year, we sold 650 boxes of L’Abbaye de Saint-Benoit-du-Lac cheeses and sent just over $15,000 to the SLF for the Grandmothers Campaign, including almost $4000 in donations. This is close to a $6,000 increase over 2024.
And there’s more bit of good news. This year, with five groups participating, the Ottawa-Gatineau Region netted a grand total of $36,743. Clearly this is one of our most successful fundraisers.
Thanks are due to the Abbaye, which gives us a generous proportion of the selling price, to our wonderful customers who continue to purchase, the husbands and sons who do the heavy lifting, and to the OWG members who sell, package, and deliver these unique cheeses.
